I’d like to thank Charly for having me as a guest blogger and for participating in the Blog World Tour this season. Charly and I met in a business networking group on Skype several years ago via an introduction from a friend we have in common. This friend had a feeling that Charly and I would hit it off and she was right. Over the years we have enjoyed brainstorming and sharing ideas. Charly also was a guest on my online radio show. My name is D’vorah Lansky and I’ve been marketing online since 1994. Like Charly, I am a huge fan of and very involved with WordPress blogs and plugins. Over the course of the week I will be sharing three blog posts with you, on the topic of Relationship Marketing and building your business with tools and strategies that can help to streamline the process.

Blogging: The Hub of Your Online Empire

Your blog is not just where people go for content; it’s where they go to connect with you. With your blog, you build community, you build credibility, and you create interaction. Your blog can house your audios, your videos, and your articles. Your blog can also serve as a membership site, your online store and your Web radio or TV show!

A blog creates a platform for you to speak from, which allows you to become known as an expert in your field. Your blog is a place where you can showcase products, share your thoughts, and build community. If you are part of a team or company or you are taking an online course, you might want to have a blog so you have a central location with easy access to training materials. If you are passionate about baking and you want to share that passion with others, you can put your recipes or sneak-peeks of recipes on your blog, thus encouraging people to buy your book

Guest Bloggers

A very popular method for generating content for your blog is to have guest bloggers. Guest blogging is when someone posts articles to your blog or you post articles on other sites. You can do this formally or informally. The most effective way to gain value from guest blogging is to strategically post on blogs that have a readership that includes your target audience and to have guest bloggers on your blog who can offer content that your readership would enjoy and benefit from.

I have learned a lot about guest blogging from Internet marketer Nicole Dean. She developed a guide to document her experience as a guest blogger, providing a step-by-step system to help others wanting to know more about guest blogging and blog tours. It was by reading Nicole’s guide that I got the inspiration to create my own blog tour.

My participation as a guest blogger on Charly’s blog is a part of this season’s blog tour.

It has been a wonderful experience and I’ve had the opportunity to deepen relationships and grow friendships with the bloggers who are participating with me in this program.

You can read about it at www.BlogWorldTour.com/blog.  Consider having guest bloggers on your blog. It is a lot of fun and this adds a lot of value!
