Fake and false reviews are just the pits.  Lately, I've noticed 'fake' reviews going up on my and other facebook pages.  I say fake, because they aren't telling lies about your business - they're promoting something else entirely, like digital currency investing.

These lovely reviewers are leaving reviews on your facebook page and hoping to piggy back off the 'authority' your page has to drive traffic to their own.

Now, if you've done business with me, I wouldn't mind you doing a quick link back to your site / business.  If you haven't, then please, don't do this.

The problem is, that despite them being obviously fake and spam, I can't remove them.  They have to stay there and if I don't want them seen, I have to remove reviews from my page.

The best I can do is report the post to Facebook. Well, I can do that and so you can.  And, you can do that for others as well.

If you see a spammy review on a friends Facebook page, report it. Maybe the internal Facebook team will do something about it ... in the fullness of time.

There's a quick video below about how to report fake reviews.  I'd love to hear about your experiences - leave a comment below - and please, if you like my content then like, subscribe and ring the bell on your favourite platform!
