Anyone who reads my blog and newsletters will know that I use and recommend Social Media Marketing to promote your business – if you are prepared to use it properly. The biggest challenge that most business people have is just how to use Social Media effectively and efficiently.
I know many people spend heaps of time using Social Media, with no effect and end up incredibly frustrated with nothing to show! Twitter is certainly a social marketing tool that is taking off but some of the challenges that face many business owners are:
- How do you find targeted followers?
- What do you tweet about?
- How can you track the hits your tweets are getting?
- And how do you fit ‘tweeting’ into your already packed schedule?
With Twitter specifically, there are lots of advertisements and tools available on the Internet that promise 1000’s if not 10’s of 1000’s of followers in mere days — but many businesses who use these tools are at a loss when they use them, because they find that even with that many followers, it just isn’t working for them.
This is the old quantity vs quality argument – and believe me when I tell you it holds true in the Social networking world. Sometimes having lots of followers doesn’t mean a thing!
So how do you ‘do’ Social Marketing? Certainly, you can pay someone to do it for you – but you really need to understand the process yourself, so you can ensure that whoever you get to manage your Social Marketing is doing the right thing by you.
Now there are lots of courses out there that promise to show you how to do it. Some are good, some are GREAT and others aren’t worth looking at.
I recently found out about a course by Social Media Marketing Mentor and Internet Entrepreneur (and fellow Australian), Zoe DeLuca – called Social Media Shortcut.
Social Media Short Cut is Zoe’s new Social Media Marketing course where she shares with you all the techniques she uses to build and maintain her own businesses. When you use Social Media Short Cut, you are truly getting real life techiques that WORK for the ‘average’ business person.
I had the privilege to interview Zoe recently about the motivation behind the course and what she shares in it – you can listen to that interview and gain some excellent social media tips from Zoe herself simply by clicking here.
