Hi Charly! I’ve been reading a lot of your stuff on insider.wishlistproducts.com, and also https://thewordpresswarrior.com/616/passing-variables-via-url
I’m wondering if there’s a way to achieve the following behavior between Wishlist and Aweber:
1. User registers for a wishlist member leve.
2. This data is also sent to Aweber, but not thru either the api or the email parser, both of which will cause a confirmation email to be sent, and the user is not active in my list.
So far, the best bet I’ve seen is to use a combination of a hidden form and php, but I’m stuck at the specific integration between wishlist and aweber.
Your thoughts would be much appreciated!

Hi Don,
Great question, and one that gets asked a lot in Wishlist Insider.
The short answer, is you can’t do what you’re asking to do, because it breaches AWebers Terms of Service and will get your account shut down.
Aweber are very strict about how members are added to lists and will only allow entries from the webform or through their email parsers. When you integrate with a system like Wishlist Member, it uses the email parser – and this requires opt in confirmation no matter what.
If you use a webform, it is possible to have a single opt in list.
That said, we’re working on an integration that will allow members to subscribe to AWeber first and then be automatically to the membership via the WLM API – it’s still in alpha testing – but it will allow you to do what you want. When it’s ready to public release, I’ll announce it.
Hi Charly!
Is single optin for Aweber possible now ?
I can’t the information anywhere.
If it is possible, would you please tell me how to make it?
Thanks.
Minyu
Hi Minyu,
Single optin has been available on AWeber if you use one of their forms however, I’m not sure if that’s still available. If you use the AWEBER API, you are forced to use Double Optin. You would be best to use the AWeber help to determine how to setup single optin for form based access.
