Ensuring your WordPress Website is backed up on a regular basis is a very important thing.

The video below demonstrates how to use the WordPress Database Plugin to backup your websites’ database.

A database is a system intended to organize, store, and retrieve large amounts of information.  In the case of WordPress websites, the database contains your sites ‘setup’ information, and the text used in Posts, Pages and Widgets.  In the case of wordpress, the database does not contain the images and files (e.g pdf’s, audios, videos) uploaded to the site – it includes links to those files, but not the files themselves.
