Today I have the great pleasure of being the host on Day 4 of the Virtual Blog Tour for Memory in the Cells by author Luis Angel Diaz.

Newly translated from the popular Spanish edition, author Luis Diaz describes his book Memory in the Cells as “where Eckhart Tolle meets What the Bleep Do We Know, but taking you on a much more practical journey.” He says Memory in the Cells teaches “emotional education” and shows the reader how to transform the “pain body” into the “joy body”, helping to heal all aspects of their lives.

Yesterday, Luis visited Andrew Mondia at the SpiritualMarketing-Blog. For today’s stop on the tour, I decided to ask Luis some questions about the connection between feelings and emotions, and how we approach our businesses.  Luis was so generous with his responses, I have posted the interview in two parts – this is the first installment, I hope you enjoy it.

Is there a connection between cellular memory and how you approach your business?

We approach anything in life conditioned by the patterns programmed in our cells. Remember that each cell carries DNA, and in that minuscule part is carried tons of information form our past generations. Whatever fears and the beliefs that our ancestors used to have, their talents and deficiencies, might be in us as well, and these will determine our so-called “money thermostat”. This is the level of enjoyment and fulfillment we experience in our financial or professional life.

We want to be able to deactivate those patterns especially if our ancestors experienced poverty, persecution, betrayal, abuse and exploitation in their lives.

How does the Cellular Memory connection begin?

It begins when you become aware that you are in a pattern. Here are some typical patterns we might find ourselves expressing:

– I am always in debt.

– I make money but I always lose it.

– The more money I make, the more I spend.

– I always attract untrustworthy people.

– It’s very difficult for me to work with other people.

How are beliefs and feelings related to behaviour, and what should a business person learn from this?

Our beliefs create feelings within us. And the unconscious repetition of feelings determines our inner dialogue and our future actions and behaviors.

For example, the common belief, “I am unworthy,” may trigger feelings of sadness and fear in us. The inner dialogue may say, “I am not important” or “Who cares?” But the opposite can be active as well as compensation, and we find ourselves saying, “No one should know I am unworthy”, or “I have to prove I am worthy!”

When you deeply believe you are unworthy but you are not aware of it, you can be totally depressed or totally stressed and overwhelmed with too many things to do. When you need to prove your own worthiness, you don’t want to disappoint people.  Therefore, you take on things you wouldn’t otherwise do, and you go through life rescuing people.

Now, imagine the impact of this belief within your business!

This last one is very common among some business owners, bosses and managers. They can be extremely critical and strict both with themselves and with others. They run at a very high level of stress, and they usually complain of being overwhelmed. No matter how high their accomplishments, they never have the time to enjoy them, because there are always many other things unfinished and they always have to catch up.
