WordPress Membership: Wishlist Member Enhancements

August 19, 2009 by Charly Leetham 9 Comments

Regular readers of this blog will know that I recommend the Wishlist Member plugin to create a WordPress Membership site.  I don’t make this recommendation lightly – I use the plugin often for membership sites for myself and clients and the functions are amazing.

The fact that the Wishlist team continues to improve on the product is a major benefit.

Today, I was advised that there will be several new features added to the Wishlist Member plugin. Two of the most significant features which are in the final “beta” testing phase are really exciting.

The first is InfusionSoft integration which will allow site owers to have full Shopping Cart integration with Wishlist Member.

The second feature is quite exciting for me.  Wishlist member already integrates with  Clickbank for it’s payment processing / affiliate management however, if you’re like me you may want to run your own affiliate program – not rely on Clickbank or PayDotCom.  Wishlist Member will have full integration with iDev Affiliate Tracking Software so that you can incorporate a full affiliate program into your site.

Take a look at the functionality provided by Wishlist Member.

Our Development Team has been hard at work
over the last several months adding all kinds
of new features to WishList Member.

Two of the most significant features which
are in the final "beta" testing phase will
open up a new market for all our affiliates.

The first is our "Infusion" integration.

Essentially this means that anyone using
InfusionSoft as their shopping cart will now
be able to have Full Integration with WLM.

This is a BIG market and we continually get
requests for this in our support desk.

Now that we are nearly finished the beta
tests, we are hoping to go live with this
very soon (we'll notify you when we do).

Likewise, we've also been putting the
finishing touches on our integration with the
iDev Affiliate Tracking Software.

That means anyone running a membership site
can now incorporate a full affiliate program
into their site :)

Essentially you could always do this before
but with the Full Integration with WLM it

    Hi
How will I be able to find out if wishlist member can be integrated with a shopping cart called Actinic (for South Africans) and whether it can be integrated with the I contact email autoresponder service?

Also, whether the Actinic shopping cart can be integrated with the WordPress Affiliate Plugin or the iDEv affiliate software?

    Regards

    Tania

I have WM installed on one of my blogs and absolutely love it. It has a lot of really cool features that, in my opinion, set it apart from other membership plugins. I only wish it integrated with Rapid Action Profits and Kunaki. I think the Kunaki integration is in process.

      Hi Scott,

Thanks for stopping by and adding your thoughts. I believe the Kunaki integration is in process – the one thing I really like about the Wishlist team is that they get things working before they release them.

      Cheers,
      Charly.

    Hi Charly,
My comment isn’t really to do with this WP extension but I was wondering if you’ve used Joomla as well as WordPress? I’m a heavy Joomla user but thinking about branching into WP as well.
What’s your opinion on WP vs Joomla?

    Thanks,
    Bob.

      Hi Bob,
I haven’t used Joomla in any great detail – I have transferred a number of sites from Joomla to WordPress because the Site Owners find Joomla very ‘confusing’ to use and prefer the simplicity of WordPress.

I’ve been ‘in the backend’ of Joomla sites and it seems quite powerful.

      Charly.
